Discover the fascinating world of rebreather diving.
HORIZON semi-closed circuit diving
SSI’s SCR Extended Range program introduces you to diving beyond the recreational limits without decompression. Learn to plan and perform limited decompression dives independently to a maximum depth of 40 meters with the Mares Horizon semi-closed circuit rebreather. Become completely self-sufficient with SSI’s exclusive SCR training techniques and XR skills. Learn to plan dives and acquire water skills, problem-solving techniques and emergency situation management. Take your SCR rebreather training to the highest level with SSI’s SCR Extended Range program!
How is the course developed?
To be able to access the theoretical part of the course, you must pay €100 in registration, the rest of the course will be paid at the end.
Online theory
The theory will be online and in person.
If you do not have your SSI profile, you can create it here or we will create it for you.
Sessions
By paying the registration you will have access to the course in your SSI profile.
We will do a confined water session and 6 dives no deeper than 40 meters and the last two with decompression.
Certification
In the end, you will receive your SCR DIVING certification from SSI. Then you can upgrade to XR SCR DIVING and dive up to 40 meters with your HORIZON

Previous requirements
Have more than 24 dives, DeepDiving certificationand Nitrox 40% certification.
Medical certificate of fitness for diving or responsible medical declaration.
Diving insurance in force.

BREATHE DEEPLY. The air we breathe is the most important and fundamental part of our diving equipment. Our BAUER-certified charging station only fills bottles with PURE AIR. Free of moisture, oil, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. We are the only diving center in Tarifa with PURE-AIR certification</ a>.
We collaborate and provide logistical support to the OCTOPUS association for the conservation of the seabed of Tarifa Island.
OCTOPUS TARIFA is a non-profit association that is interested in the conservation of the seabed of the Island of Tarifa, which is within the Strait of Gibraltar Natural Park.
In addition to beach cleanups and awareness talks at schools, we monitor the bottom of the island daily with the support of LEONMARINO and its divers, collecting plastics and abandoned fishing gear and reporting any incident observed to the Natural Park.
